Family Dental Group is a small group practice located in beautiful Missoula, Montana.   We are a very patient centered practice.   Our reputation for high quality, personalized care is how we stay free of insurance contracts.  Our convenient evening and Saturday hours also give us a competitive advantage that allows our doctors to focus on their patients instead of their dental insurance.  It is old fashioned dentistry in a very modern clinic.

Our unique schedule enables our dentists to enjoy extraordinary quality of life while still making a comfortable living.  Most of our dentists work 10 hour shifts 2-4 days per week.    This gives them a 3-5 day weekend every week!  We frequently trade shifts and cover for each other so we can take extra time off.  Lifestyle is extremely important here. 

Montana is a giant playground for people who enjoy the outdoors.  Missoula has a very challenging, local ski hill (Montana Snowbowl) just 20 minutes from town.  Our town is ideally located at the confluence of three rivers (Bitterroot, Blackfoot and Clark Fork). Whitewater enthusiasts flock to Missoula in the spring when the rivers are running high and trade their paddles for fishing poles as the water levels drop.  This is an internationally known fly fishing destination. We are surrounded by wilderness and national forests.  Hunters and hikers travel from all over the world to explore the vast, remote back country of Western Montana.   We are also conveniently located roughly halfway between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. 

Nearly half a million people come to Missoula from outlining areas for shopping and healthcare so we enjoy the resources of a big city while remaining a small town of 73 thousand people.  Our university enrolls 10,000 (+) students as well.   That might explain why a town this size can have over 10 breweries and over 100 restaurants and cafes.   A common remark among locals is “Our lives are better than their vacations.”
