JOB SUMMARY:
Regional Dental Director shall be a licensed dentist in the state where they will be the Director. The Regional Dental Director is responsible for helping to ensure all aspects of the clinical and dental services at the regional level are maintained to the established and appropriate levels. Regional Dental Director provides direct dental services to patients, as well as direction, indirect supervision, and consultation to the dental teams. Regional Dental Director shall report to the VP, Clinical Affairs. Regional Dental Director participates in the onboarding for new dental providers. They shall work closely with the Quality Assurance auditing team to develop any necessary corrective action plans as a result of the quality assurance auditing process of the dental providers in their region. Regional Dental Director shall be available in person or through direct telecommunication for consultation, assistance with dental emergencies, or patient referral from the provders within their region. This position demonstrates behaviors to drive superior levels of patient service and employee satisfaction while striving continuously to improve results. Follows and supports the CARE model for patient experience.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Provides direct dental services to patients to the highest standard of care, under the scope of the dental license.
 Work with Operations team to ensure all practices are maintained and operated in accordance to OSHA & HIPAA standards.
 Fosters strong relationships with dental teams to ensure a commitment to "patient first" philosophy.
 Works to develop lead dentist position in all practices.
 Facilitates the leadership growth of the Lead Dentist in each practice.
 Work with the Director of Clinical Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs, to develop and implement doctor mentor program.
 Act as lead mentor in the region for the dental providers.
 Use regulary scheduled provider meetings for all providers in the region as a means to: facilitate the dissemination and implementation of new Care Group policies and procedures; introduction to new products or formulary changes; develop strong team approach to problem solving and to bring forth any clinical concerns and suggestions for improvement.
 Works with Director of Clinical Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs, to develop and deliver first class CE courses for all providers including hygienists and assistants.
 Participates in Clinical subcommittee, formulary committee associated meetings and workgroups at the direction of the Director of Clincal Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs.
 Makes referrals to specialists or other professionals as needed for patient care and makes written records of such.
 Facilitates and completes referral auditing for providers in the region at the direction of the Director of Clinical Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs.
 Facilitates and completes clinical chart auditing for providers in the region at the direction of the Director of Clinical Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs.
 Identifies region specific deficiencies, formulate region specific strategic plan in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Affairs and/or VP, Clinical Affairs.
 Maintains accurate and comprehensive patient records.
 Assists other providers with patient care or consultation when needed.
 Completes all treatment notes and charting in an accurate and timely manner.
 Trains auxiliary dental personnel, including dental hygienist and/or dental assistants, as needed.
 Ensures that professional standards of care as formulated by Clinical Quality Assurance Risk Management (CQARM) committee and administration are met.
 Demonstrates proficiency in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, fixed and removable prosthetics and oral surgical procedures.
 Responsible for quality assurance, risk management and infection control programs and their implementation at all practices in their region.
 Responds to patient concerns or complaints when present.
 Prepares and submits patient disqualifications and dismissals.
 Compliant with their State Dental Board and upholds standards of care consitant with all laws of their state.
 Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and continuing education courses, reviews professional publications, establishes personal networks and/or participates in professional societies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
 DDS or DMD or equivalent.
 Active, current, and in good standing with State Dental Board in the State of employment.
 Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
 Adheres to company policies and procedures.
 Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of the position.
 Prior management experience preferred.
 Current Basic Life Savings Certification (BLS)
 NPI
 U.S. Controlled Substance Reg. Certificate (DEA)
 Malpractice Insurance ($1M - $3M) - Provided by DentaQuest Care Group
 Basic working knowledge and/or proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability to travel using personal car as required by the company.
 Occasional overnight travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 Must be able to communicate effectively.
 Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
 Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
 Work primarily in the field visiting practice locations or in either a private or shared office environment.
 May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, cold, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
