Pediatric Dentistry - Assistant/Associate Professor

West Virginia University School of Dentistry located in Morgantown, WV is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month clinical or tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The Department of Pediatric Dentistry currently includes a pre-doctoral program and is in the process of developing an advanced education program for post-doctoral residents. The successful candidate will be the Pre-Doctoral Director and will report to the Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The Pre-Doctoral Director will manage and mentor students to assure the attainment of clinical competency, teach students the fundamentals of pediatric dentistry, and assure the provision of high-quality comprehensive dental services to patients. Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical teaching to students enrolled in the predoctoral, postdoctoral, and dental hygiene programs; comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the State, including in the hospital and operating room patient care; high quality scholarly activity; and service to the School of Dentistry, the University, the community, and the state. Candidates must demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, leadership skills, and strong commitment to diversity and social justice. This position will work closely with the Chair and Post-Doctoral Director of Pediatric Dentistry in the development of the advanced education, post-graduate program in Pediatric Dentistry and build collaborative relationships with local, State, and national groups that have interest in pediatric oral and overall health.
