Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences & Prosthodontics

Director of Graduate Prosthodontics

The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for a full-time faculty position at the Clinical Associate/Clinical Professor level in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences & Prosthodontics (BMS&P) to serve as Director of Graduate Prosthodontics with a strong commitment to dental education, scholarship, and service.

Qualifications include proven evidence-based teaching skills in advanced prosthodontic education settings, clinical proficiency in prosthodontics, and a strong track record of scholarly activity.  The candidates shall demonstrate a passion for graduate student education, the ability to apply technology to enhance teaching and learning, and the desire to exercise interdisciplinary mentoring and collaboration.  Candidates should have demonstrated ability to oversee graduate prosthodontic education and to sustain a viable graduate clinic program.  The school and BMS&P are fully engaged in supporting a model for dental education that includes the incorporation of innovative technologies, interdisciplinary education and patient care, and evidence-based dentistry.

 

Candidates should have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is required.

BMS&P has an active mentorship program and provides ample opportunities for career development and national/international networking. Opportunities are also available for participation in intramural faculty practice. Salary and level of academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
