Job Details
-Provide preventative care for dental patients.
-Work closely alongside Dentist.
-Perform procedures such as removing deposits, plaque and stains from teeth and examine gums for signs of disease.
-Apply fluoride and sealant solutions.
-Administer X-rays and Local Infiltration Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Anesthesia.
-Teach patients about proper dental health and oral hygiene.
-Assist dentists performing dental procedures at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Operating room and other locations within the hospital.
-New York State Dental Hygienist License required.
-New York State Certification for Local Infiltration Anesthesia/Nitrous Oxide Analgesia
required.
-Basic Life Support Certification required.
