University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital (UH/RBC), one of the nation's top children’s hospitals as ranked by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking applicants for a transformational leadership role as Division Chief of Pediatric Dentistry and Anne Hunter Jenkins Endowed Master Clinician in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics.
 
In accordance with the mission of UH/RBC: To Heal, To Teach, To Discover, the Division Chief will oversee faculty activity that includes both clinical care and the provision of education and mentorship to Pediatric Dental Residents; research and innovation; community outreach and advocacy; and regional and national academic collaboration and thought leadership. The incoming Chief should demonstrate a successful track record of hospital-based clinical leadership or practice management within a complex dental care environment, as well as administrative, academic, and quality improvement expertise. Qualified candidates must be Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry.   
 
Division Highlights:

  • The Dental Clinic at the UH Rainbow Center for Women & Children offers full-service pediatric dentistry in six state-of-the-art operatories.  
  • As the second-highest volume pediatric surgical service, the Pediatric Dental division enjoys a dedicated operating room in the RBC Prentiss Operating Room as well as a custom configured sedation suite located in the Pediatric Sedation Unit. 
  • Opening in 2022, the Center for Advanced Pediatric Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery & Pediatric Dentistry (aka 'Smile Suite') at RBC will be the first center of its kind in Ohio providing for physical integration of robust clinical specialties, including pediatric dentistry, plastic surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, and craniofacial orthodontics. 
  • The division also operates a 43-foot-long mobile Children's Dental Unit that provides on-site dental care to underserved children throughout Northeast Ohio.
     

Faculty appointment and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. University Hospitals offers a competitive salary and benefits program and productivity incentives.
