Full-Time Faculty Position in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology
The Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Unit of the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure or non-tenure track, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology faculty member. The academic rank (i.e., Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include pre- and postdoctoral didactic and clinical teaching in content areas related to general pathology, oral pathology, and oral medicine. Responsibilities also include participation in the oral diagnostic biopsy service at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital and participation in the clinical oral pathology/oral medicine faculty practice. Applicants on the tenure track are expected to demonstrate scholarly activity and obtain external research funding. Appropriate resources to support a research career will be provided.
Qualifications: DDS/DMD required; a valid New York State dental license, or the ability to obtain NYS licensure is required. Must have:
- Completed a CODA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology residency training program Diplomate status, or be considered board-eligible with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (ABOMP)
Experience in an academic dental setting, and related research experience, is preferred.
