GENERAL DENTIST - TEAM LEAD/MEDICAL DIRECTOR The Department of Dentistry at Denver Health is recruiting for a Team Leader General Dentist to join our Lowry Family Dental Clinic. The successful candidate will have 3+ years experience as a General Dentist preferred and previous management experience of other dental providers. The Team Leader will be responsible for supervision of the provider staff and manage the day to day operations of the dental clinic.
Clinical responsibilities include: Under minimal supervision, diagnose, prevent, and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue. Remove decay, fill cavities, examine x-rays, place protective plastic sealants on children's teeth, straighten teeth, and repair fractured teeth. Perform non-complex Endodontic and Oral Surgery Procedures. Perform corrective surgery on gums and supporting bones to treat gum diseases. Extract teeth and make models and measurements for dentures to replace missing teeth. Provide instruction on diet, brushing, flossing, the use of fluorides, and other aspects of dental care. Administer anesthetics and write prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications.
