The Section of Surgical Sciences is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty
position in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the
Assistant/Associate Professor level. This is a clinically busy program with patient care responsibilities covering the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with an emphasis on maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, oral and maxillofacial pathology, and reconstruction. Additional faculty responsibilities will include instruction and mentoring of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The faculty member will join a diverse and dynamic faculty and residency
complement. Applicants must be committed to the VUMC mission of reflecting the diversity of the populations we serve in our teams.
Qualifications for this position include a D.D.S./D.M.D. or combined dental/M.D. degrees, completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program, board certification or active participation in the certification process by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
