The Colorado Dental Association (CDA) empowers dentists to build thriving practices and careers by providing professional development opportunities and tools that enhance dental practice management and regulatory support and services. A central part of CDA’s mission is to ensure that dental practice is appropriately regulated and monitors relevant regulatory and legislative activities at the federal, state and local levels.  By fostering a community that helps dentists focus on their passion for providing patients with the best level of care, CDA helps ensure superior oral health for the people of Colorado. Since its inception in 1887, CDA has grown to more than 3,400 members across the state. Colorado has 11 regional dental societies that provide local networking and services to member dentists. For more information about CDA, please click here.

CDA believes in giving back to the community through its charitable efforts. The vehicle for this work is the CDA Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that supports CDA’s access-to-care agenda and Dental Health Matters efforts to increase discussions about oral health and the dental profession in Colorado communities and advocate for smart improvements that increase access to dental care.

CDA seeks a leader who is passionate about oral health and the integration of dentistry into the whole health equation. This individual will vigorously work to expand accessibility and preserve the highest quality of dental care.  This individual has a passion for membership organizations and advancing the success of members. This leader will be a tireless advocate for CDA’s vision and mission.

This individual will demonstrate a career path of progressive leadership and management experience. They have experience leading and directing complex organizations with varied internal and diverse external constituencies. Highly qualified candidates will have experience in professional associations. Experience in organizations serving dentists is highly desirable, but not required. The successful candidate values collaboration and has experience building durable relationships with members, partners, sponsors, stakeholders and constituencies.

This is a resourceful individual who is data driven, sets priorities and guides investment in people and systems. This individual is results and growth oriented and will demonstrate success in operating a financially sustainable organization. This individual demonstrates success providing leadership and building an organizational culture that attracts and retains a talented and engaged staff. As the key spokesperson for CDA, this individual must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position annually is between $185,000 and $225,000 and will be commensurable with experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, and dental and vision direct reimbursement. CDA observes 11 and 1/2 paid holidays each year and offers Paid Time Off as well as Sick Leave.
