The Mount Sinai Health System Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking applications for full-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons to join the academic staff at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. 

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System’s Oral and Maxillofacial Division of the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery seeks a full time Board Eligible/Board Certified surgeon. The primary responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction of residents, scholarly activities, and service. We are seeking an outstanding individual with excellent leadership skills to contribute to all aspects of our clinical practice, our educational programs, and the research impact of for the Division, the Department and the School of Medicine. The position offers faculty unparalleled opportunities in clinical care and research.

The Mount Sinai Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division is expanding its clinical practice throughout the five boroughs of New York City. This position offers candidates an outstanding opportunity to join our team of highly specialized surgeons who practice in modern state-of-the-art facilities within the Mount Sinai Health System and in our satellite centers. The surgeon will provide the highest level of quality patient-centered healthcare and will embrace the teaching of Oral and Maxillofacial residents, as well as participate in clinical research. 

The chosen candidates will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Icahn School of Medicine, based on their experience. Mount Sinai’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. The division embraces the mission of the Icahn School of Medicine by pursuing an integrated approach to patient care, research, and education. We pursue all dimensions of these three components, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.

Position Qualifications:

  • Dental Degree from an Accredited US or Canadian University 
  • Medical degree preferred but not mandatory for consideration 
  • Able to obtain New York Dental License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Committed to Mount Sinai and the communities we serve
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
  • A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance driven health system
  • Compensation range from $400 to $425K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range. The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits.
