Dentist-General Dentistry

Position Summary:

Responsible for overall patient dental services at the Center. Performs professional dental care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.  Assists with administrative functions of planning and directing the dental programs within the dental department.  Expected to consistently work to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with other dentists, physicians, and staff to help support the delivery of quality patient care.  Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic (PCHC).

Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Dentistry, licensed in the State of Iowa and board certified

Certificates and Licenses:

Must complete all requirements necessary for the practice of dentistry in Iowa including: (a) state agreements for payment of dental health services under Medicare and Medicaid, (b) DEA permission to prescribe and maintain controlled substances, (c) malpractice insurability, (d) Iowa dental license, (e) board certification required in specialty area (f) member of ADA and IDA,  (g) maintains current CPR certification, (h) maintains continuing educational requirements
