Your role is to serve the Doctor and patients beyond expectations. You are accountable for assisting the hygienist in letting the patients know about all the problems that you see, the potential consequences if the problems are left untreated, and what solutions the Doctor is likely to propose. By helping to uncover a patient’s Personal Motivators, you create value and increase the patients’ motivation to choose treatment along with taking patients x-rays and pictures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the verbal, assumed, and foreshadowed needs and wants of the Doctor, Hygienist, and patients to help improve efficiency and productivity of the practice.
  • Ensure “time integrity” for the Clinical Team, making sure that Doctor and Hygienist and patient’s time is never wasted.
  • Accurately prepare operatories with the correct instruments prior to each scheduled treatment to mitigate downtime.
  • Sterilize instruments to prepare each hygiene room for patient visits.
  • Understand and believe in what constitutes a “Healthy Mouth,” and compare each patient’s mouth to the standard using the “Healthy Mouth Baseline” as a tool.
  • Update patients’ medical history, record blood pressure, uncovers any new conditions, etc.
  • Assist Hygienist in performing a comprehensive periodontal evaluation including probe depths, bleeding points, recessions, mobility, furcation, etc. Use “Standards of Care” and “Healthy Mouth Baseline” as guidelines.
  • Help uncover patients’ “Personal Motivators” during the visit and record them in their charts. Educate the patients regarding the next steps that the Doctor will likely recommend. Our Story

Dr. Chris Lewandowski noticed what seemed to be an archaic process… and had an idea.

Dr. Lewandowski practiced like any other dentist. Any time he needed a temp, he would use a local staffing agency to fill the need. The process was always a bit unnerving. He’d call her, she’d call him, then maybe she would call a few other people and if she found someone, she’d call him back. Or something like that. It seemed disorderly at best, and he never knew who would come walking through the door as “the temp”, or when.

After some thought, he had an idea to make it better.

Realizing all dentists were having similar experiences, he partnered with a coder and developed the first internet based temporary staffing platform in dentistry. The year was 2007. By using automated emails, texting and some geocoding, he created an efficient matching system that could find and book a temp in a matter of seconds. And the doctor could actually choose the temp he wanted from a list of available workers. The concept was revolutionary.

A chance to do something big.

The notion of online temping came with some initial resistance in his hometown of Scottsdale Arizona. The concept of doing things online was still new as the internet struggled to become mainstream in dentistry and in our everyday lives. In fact, texting had just been introduced a few years prior. Eventually, people caught on. Users began to talk about the speed, efficiency, and choices they had when using the site. The word began to spread, and within a few years Princess Dental Staffing became the staffing company of choice for Arizona and was the first staffing agency to become endorsed by the AzDA.

As new features were added and the site began to grow, people began to ask Dr. Lewandowski why he didn’t expand the platform to other cities. After a few minor changes to the site, he did. Princess Dental Staffing is now operating in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Denver. And the list keeps growing.

Dr. Lewandowski, along with the ideas from many other practicing dentists, continually improve the site on a regular basis. He hasn’t lost touch with what practicing dentists want. And he knows that when dentists want something, they want it done right and they want it done fast. Which is what Princess Dental Staffing is all about: Finding the right staff, fast.

Mission: Our mission is to be the leading job source in dentistry, for both temporary and permanent opportunities.

Vision: Princess Dental Staffing’s vision is to connect dental job seekers with dental employers looking to hire both temporary and permanent positions in a fast, easy and economical way.
