Instructor in Dental Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center (Division of Operative Dentistry)
Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (CDM) invites applications for a dentist / full-time faculty position in the Section of Cariology and Restorative Sciences in the Division of Operative Dentistry. The CDM Search Committee is particularly interested in candidates who, through their teaching, research, and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
The primary responsibilities of the selected individual will include supervising dental students and delivering dental care to adult and geriatric populations at the CDM Mobile Dental Center and in the CDM Dental School Clinics.
Four days will be spent in the practice and one day in the clinic.
Academic rank and salary are commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
DDS or DMD degree required. Must be licensed to practice dentistry in NYS or eligible for NYS dental license.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a skilled general dentist with at least five years of experience. Experience in an AEGD or GPR program could count for up to two of those five years, in addition, to experience in a practice, the military, or other community-based organization.
Highly Preferred: The ideal candidate will provide services in the practice for at least one Saturday per month.
Salary Range or Pay Grade: $92,179–$118, 450. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
