Clinical Non-Tenured Track Faculty, Oral Medicine

Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the clinical-track for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Medicine and Surgery.

The appointed faculty will be responsible for clinical and didactic teaching at the predoctoral level, with a particular focus on expansion of the clinical education programs in the dental management of medically
compromised patients. The appointed faculty will also be part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, caring for patients with temporomandibular disorders, orofacial pain, oral mucosal diseases, and sleep disorders. Clinical teaching in the predoctoral program will primarily be in the Triage, Radiology, and Admissions Clinic (TRAC). Didactic teaching will primarily be in the predoctoral systems courses with emphasis on the dental management of medically compromised patients. The faculty member selected for this position will report to the Deputy Chair of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology who reports to the Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, Medicine and Surgery.

Service to the School and the University will include membership in, and leadership of, various committees and working groups and participation in the management of Ryan White HIV/AIDS Programs (RWHAP) service grants. Research, teaching and service activities of the applicant should
contribute to the advancement of the mission of the School and support its interprofessional education, practice and service initiatives.

Qualifications
Preference is given to candidates with a DDS or DMD from a CODA accredited dental school. Candidates must have successfully completed a CODA accredited dental specialty residency in Oral Medicine, Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, or Orofacial Pain program with board
eligibility/certification. Training and experience are preferred in the dental management of medically compromised patients. Training and experience in management of TMD and orofacial pain disorders and/or oral mucosal conditions are welcome. Pennsylvania dental license, or the ability to obtain PA licensure, is required.

Salary and rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
