ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting an experienced community or academic Dentist with a strong background in restorative dentistry, including implant prosthodontics.
Full-time and part-time candidates are encouraged to apply!
ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced community or academic Dentist or Prosthodontist with a strong background in restorative dentistry, including implant prosthodontics. Experience in hospital dentistry, treating patients in the OR, and teaching on the graduate level (including development of the didactic and clinical programs) is desired. Candidates should be experienced in communicating with dental laboratories and establishing internal best practices regarding processes and procedures in prosthetic case management. Other expertise that a candidate has regarding various specialty or special interest areas in dentistry should be highlighted, as the General Practice Residency program offers educational experience in a wide variety of educational opportunities available to the general dentist.
ChristianaCare offers a fully accredited General Practice Dentistry residency program (eight trainees per year), which is at the forefront of the specialty in education, implantology, special needs and hospital-based care. Further, it is unique because it has a very robust dental implant prosthetic program, as well as all areas of restorative and specialty dentistry. In addition, the residents work closely with the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program. Our dental residents consult in many areas of the hospital including oncology, cardiology, orthopedics and nephrology as well as treating medically and cognitively compromised patients in the clinic. The Program has a didactic program which complements the residents’ clinical exposure. Also, there are more than seventy volunteer attending dentists on staff who teach and help in the clinic, as well as lending didactic support and expertise.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited US or Canadian Dental School with a DMD or DDS degree and have completed an accredited US or Canadian General Practice Dentistry residency program or advanced specialty residency education program. Prosthodontic residency, advanced implant education/experience, research experience, and advanced education (MPH, MBA) are a plus.
