Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry Roles

The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking candidates to fill 3 positions in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry: 

• General Dentist for clinical-track faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor
• Prosthodontist for clinical-track faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor
• Prosthodontist for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of associate professor

The primary responsibilities of each position will be didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics curricula. Other duties include research and scholarly activity, supporting the overall mission of the division, participating in university and college governance, contributing to the college’s continuing education programs, and practicing in the college’s affiliated intramural Dental Faculty Practice.

Education and Experience Requirements

Required: Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree. They also must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Information on state dental licensure is available at dental.ohio.gov/Licensure/Dentist. Prosthodontist candidates must also have a certificate of advanced education in prosthodontics from a CODA-accredited program.

Desired: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and experience in the application of advanced digital technology in dental education and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable.
