Job Details

This position will be based in Southern Oregon - covering 7 practices from Sutherlin down to Grants Pass, and over to Medford. Candidates must be local to the region or willing to relocate.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) leads and manages the overall operations of their assigned territory and supports the mission of DentaQuest Care Group. The ROM actively provides operational leadership, direction and administration through the Practice Managers, ensuring operational and financial effectiveness, and bottom line success. The ROM is responsible for the management of the business operations through directly coaching and developing high performing practice teams. The ROM cultivates positive relationships with providers and team members. Follows and supports the CARE model for patient experience.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as a critical liaison between the home support office and dental practices, driving a strong positive culture and environment that supports and enables team member success.
Works in partnership with clinical and operational leadership and team members to meet and achieve. organizational goals while consistently achieving budget, revenue and profitability goals.
Manages and communicates operational and revenue goals for assigned practices.
Interprets, understands and manages controllable items on profit and loss statement.
Partners with clinical leadership and other members of the management team to resolve any clinical issues in a timely manner.
Collaborates with Human Resources to provide continuous assessment of recruitment and staffing needs and employment support for the practices.
Provides training and development support to ensure all practice employees demonstrate knowledge of operating procedures and protocols.
Supports daily practice operations within the region.
Responds to clinical and operational concerns timely and effectively.
Builds successful relationships with business partners, clinical leadership, and team members.
Fosters accountability, teamwork, and mutual trust and respect for all team members through mentoring, training and coaching activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
5 years related management experience.
3 years of operations or related experience; multi-unit profit & loss management preferred.
Previous experience in oral healthcare group practice management or equivalent.
Experience with all payer classes such as PPO, DHMO, Medicaid and FFS or equivalent.
Proven track record with practice performance turnarounds.
Strong facilitation, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office; Excel and Word).
Ability to adapt to constantly changing environment.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong case presentation skills including ability to train staff on topic.
Attend additional training as requested/deemed necessary.
Experience in Dental Support Organization regional management preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel using personal car to visit practices and home support offices.
Frequent overnight travel including business meetings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to communicate effectively.
Requires overall light physical effort (up to 25lbs.)
Manual dexterity and sitting is required in carrying out position responsibilities (i.e. use of personal computer).
Work primarily in the field visiting practice locations or in either a private or shared office environment.
May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, cold, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
