Full-time tenure-track faculty

The University of Iowa’s College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Iowa Institute for Oral Health Research, Division of Biostatistics and Computational Biology.

Position is available May 1, 2021; screening begins immediately. 

Must have:  Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, or closely related field w/significant emphasis in biomedical applications; track record or unmistakable promise of independent and collaborative research; experience effectively conducting research as part of multidisciplinary team; evidence or unmistakable promise of effective teaching; experience working effectively in diverse environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and effective interpersonal skills. 

Desirable qualifications include experience:  participating in externally-funded grant projects; teaching health science student biostatistics and research design; mentoring student research; w/analysis of high-dimensional data; and w/statistical genetic analysis/analysis of data from genetic epidemiology investigations. 

Other desirables include:  strong record of scientific publication and presentation at professional meetings; and knowledge of dental nomenclature and classification.  

Rank/salary commensurate with qualifications/experience.
