SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks Dental Professional with an IT bent.

This is a position seeking an experienced dental professional willing to focus on IT systems to improve SEARHC's dental processes and procedures, especially around electronic dental record (EDR) and computer applications to support the efficiency of the organization's infrastructure.

The Dental Clinical Informatics position requires knowledge of the dental profession and processes. This position banks on this knowledge/experience to supports the Dental staff in the use and adoption of the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) applications and systems. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot dental imaging devices, assist in maintenance of IT infrastructure software, clinical applications and workflow troubleshooting with technical staff.

The individual collaborates with all dental staff to leverage technology to increase efficiency and improve patient outcomes in the dental office. Must have excellent customer service skills, be able to work alternative schedules in order to support staff and be comfortable with computers and computer applications. Must learn the medical electronic health record to support training within the dental practice on medical and dental records. Travel required.

REQUIREMENTS:

5 years in a dental setting; clinical experience preferred; two years working with clinical information systems; one year with computer technology such as configuration, installation and report generating; active license in dental practice; license preferred in hygienist, dental aid, assistant t or health informatics; Dental practices knowledge (scheduling radiology, lab and document scanning; dental best practices n outpatient/inpatient settings; information technology; TJC, HIPAA, MACRA, CMS and other regulations.
